Alice Sparks is a scholarship student on the Master of Urban Studies course at Vrije Universiteit Brussel/ Université Libre de Bruxelles. After graduating with a first class degree from Politics and Modern History at the University of Manchester in 2018, she launched and managed Invisible Manchester. It was an extremely unique opportunity for Alice to hold a senior leadership position at such a young age. In this role, she delivered a TEDx talk, was named Manchester’s 30under30 and a G20 Young Global Changer of 2019, and was invited to conferences across the world including Egypt, Germany and the UK. Her career is extremely varied, her highlights include working in Rwanda for the UK government’s Department of International Development (DFID), in Liverpool at the city’s first vertical farm, consulting as a social value advisor at Greengage, researching mandates on ESG, climate transitions and GHG emissions at Falcon Brook and being a board member for TurntheTables social enterprise. She currently holds a position as European Stakeholder Engagement coordinator at Living Future Europe to bring conversations forward about climate, nature, zero-carbon, circular economy, and the built environment in Brussels.
