Bethann Garramon Merkle, MFA, is a Professor of Practice at the University of Wyoming, where she is the founding director of the UW Science Communication Initiative. She also co-founded the Ecological Society of America’s Communication & Engagement Section, and today she studies and facilitates communications and strategic planning initiatives with a focus on collective action to make work and learning in higher education more inclusive and socially responsible. She is also an award-winning transdisciplinary educator, artist, and writer.
