Claudia Visoni is a journalist, environmentalist and urban gardener from São Paulo, Brazil. She’s enthusiastic about agroecology, permaculture and urban trees. As a multicause activist, she’s involved in several citizen initiatives such as Horta das Corujas (The Owl’s Community Garden – https://hortadascorujas.wordpress.com/ ), Cisterna Já (Tank Now – www.cisternaja.com ), and Movimento Infância Livre de Consumismo (Movement for a Consumerism-Free Childhood -http://milc.net.br/). Claudia is one of the founders of Hortelões Urbanos (Urban Gardeners – https://www.facebook.com/groups/horteloes/, a Facebook group that gathers around 40,000 people to exchange information on urban food production), and an elected environmental counselor for her district (Pinheiros) in São Paulo.
