Giulia Sonetti

Giulia Sonetti is sustainability manager at the Politecnico di Torino’s Green Office and Research Assistant at the Interuniversity Department of Regional & Urban Studies and Planning, Politecnico di Torino and Università di Torino, where she earned a PhD in Estimate and Evaluation. She read a BArch+MArch in Architecture at the University of Naples, with a thesis in life cycle assessment at the Italian National Agency for Alternatives Energy Sources. After having worked as sustainability consultant in Italy and Spain, she completed a MSc in Renewable Energy at the University of Nottingham, and the first course on new strategies for energy generation, conversion, and storage at the Joint European-Italian Physics Society International School on Energy. She has been visiting researcher at the University of Hokkaido in Japan, the EPFL in China, the University of Cambridge in the U.K., and the Barcelona Super Computing Centre in Spain. She is involved in many EU and national projects supporting better integration of energy into the policy process, urban sustainability evaluations, and shared science approaches.
