Marta Berbés-Blázquez holds a PhD in Environmental Studies (York University) and she is a postdoctoral fellow with the Urban Resilience to Extremes Sustainability Research Network (URExSRN) at Arizona State University. Her research considers the human dimensions of environmental change in rural and urban environments with an emphasis on vulnerable populations. Combining insights from resilience thinking, social innovation, and political ecology, Marta’s interests focus on the interplay between human well-being, ecosystem services and environmental governance.
