Michael Jemtrud is an Associate Professor of Architecture at McGill University and Founding Director of the Facility for Architectural Research in Media and Mediation (FARMM). His research and creative activity focuses on design practice from the computational and fabricative to the emergent and ecological. Alongside traditional scholarship, he is a proponent and practitioner of the research-through-design model of inquiry and architectural pedagogy. His research and creative activity has been supported by various institutional and industry partners including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada; Canada Foundation for Innovation; Canadian Heritage; CANARIE; IBM; Autodesk; and others.
