Sonya Sachdeva is a computational social scientist with the US Forest Service in the greater Chicago area. She utilizes machine learning and other computational methodology to understand the socio-cultural factors that shape environmental values and behavior. Sonya is especially vested in issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion within natural resource management to promote global environmental justice. She holds a Bachelors in Economics and Biopsychology from the University of Michigan and a doctoral degree in Cognitive Science from Northwestern University.
